Whether it is a residential, commercial or telecommunications project, Thomson Surveying will expertly navigate your project from “raw land” to final development, including rough grade staking, utility staking, roadways and building.

With nearly 40 years in the business, our professionals possess the knowledge and expertise necessary to stake the location of each proposed structure, according to your design plans. Our construction staking services include commercial buildings, residential tract homes, schools, park sites, sports complexes, roads, highways, utilities and Telecom sites.

Thomson Surveying also provides as-built construction plans for site utilities and improvements to verify compliance with approved engineering plans and for approval by local municipalities.

Thomson Surveying provides all aspects of surveying needed for efficient town planning, including design projects, major transportation projects, flood control reservoirs, pump stations, embankments, water mains, sanitary and storm sewer, pavement, culvert improvement projects, large open channels, and large subdivisions. We also prepare comprehensive municipality benchmark systems. Over the past several years, we performed over 85 transportation-related surveys, providing field and office assistance for surveys, plats of highway and parcel descriptions, as well as stream cross-sections and topographic surveys for:

When it comes to residential planning, Thomson Surveying provides a broad range of services from topographic surveys for individual homes to topographic surveys and construction staking of multi-million dollar subdivisions. We work extensively with boundary survey as well as plat preparation, including plats of subdivision, annexation, highway, dedication, and right-of-way, among others.

Thomson Surveying began working with telecommunications in 1995. In that time, we completed over 1,000 surveys for our various clients that include rooftop exhibits, co-location surveys, water towers and raw land.
